We are currently planning instructional sessions for Altar Servers. Servers will gain their initial experiences assisting at the weekday Masses. This ministry is open to anyone entering the fourth grade or older who desires to serve the priests and community. If your son or daughter is interested in becoming a member of this worthwhile ministry, please contact the pastorate office.
SAVE THE DATE: Mark your calendars for our first pastorate-wide Mass bringing everyone together for fun and fellowship on Sunday, August 21st, 10:30 am Eastern, 9:30 Central in the Benton Central High School Auditorium, with a carry-in meal following in the cafeteria. There will be fun activities for children and teens! We are asking for volunteers for the following committees: Food, Activities, Hospitality, Transportation, Decorating, Set Up, Clean Up, and Music. The Food Co-Op is looking for a volunteer to pick up fresh fruit on Thursday mornings at Payless/Kroger in West Lafayette and bring it to the Co-Op between 9:00-9:30. The St. Joseph Catholic, Covenant Federated and Trinity United Methodist Churches invite the public to Community Holy Week Services. Lenton Luncheons will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday, April 11, 12, 13, 2022. The lunch line will begin serving at 11:45 AM. St. Joseph will provide lunch and lead worship on Monday. ALL ARE WELCOME!
COMING SOON! On Sunday, March 27, 2022, we will begin “Last Sunday Social” in the parish hall after the 9 a.m. Mass. We will be serving donuts and beverages this month, courtesy of the St. Joseph Women’s Society. Let’s bid farewell to all these months of COVID isolation and take some time to come visit with our fellow parishioners, maybe meet someone new and enjoy a little breakfast snack! As an added attraction, we would like to invite you while in the parish hall to visit the newly formed St. Joseph Parish Historical Museum. You may find photos, books, documents and many more treasures to tweak your memories of St. Joseph Parish. New parishioners may just find this museum interesting and a way to further enjoy being part of our parish. We are planning to have Last Sunday Social each month on the last Sunday of the month as long as interest is there. We hope that lots of parishioners will join us.

The General de Lafayette Assembly 4th Degree Knight of Columbus will once again be awarding a $2000 scholarship to two High School Seniors in the Assembly area. (Assembly area includes Otterbein and Oxford). As most of you are aware the 4th degree has been supporting the youth of our assembly area for many years by awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships. You may call the pastorate office at (765) 385-2587 for an application form. The application form will need to be sent as well as an essay as outlined in the application. Both of these items need to be postmarked by March 18, 2022 to the address on the application. The 4th degree have been holding multiple fund raising efforts over the years in order to support our local youth. We are honored to be able to award these scholarships in order to assist the youth in their future endeavors.
Nineteen (19) Mexico Missioners will leave February 12th, for a week, to build five (5) houses. Then seven (7) will remain for another week to build 2 more houses, returning February 26th. Please take a sombrero (or 2) and pray for that person to have a safe, productive and spiritual experience. All prayers are greatly appreciated.
As the pastorate begins to plan for the season of Lent, we are seeking anyone who might be interested in leading the Stations of the Cross at their parish.
