The Eucharist is “not a prize for the perfect, but a powerful medicine and nourishment for the weak.” Do you want to gain a greater understanding of the Eucharist? Get ready to join us on a wonderful journey into scripture as we gain further insight into the biblical roots of the Eucharist through its foreshadowing in the miraculous events of the Old Testament, the Gospels, and Apostolic teaching. Our first gathering will be at St. Patrick Hall, JUNE 8 at 7 pm. We will be breaking bread together at table (that means we will provide dinner) and offering an overview of the lessons to come. The books for this program are $20. Please RSVP if you are interested in attending this first session. If would like further information, contact Bridget Schlebecker at bschlebecker@parish.dol-in.org or 765-884-1818.

The object of the Stations is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer, through meditating upon the chief scenes of Christ’s sufferings and death. It has become one of the most popular devotions for Roman Catholics, and is often performed in a spirit of reparation for the sufferings and insults that Jesus endured during His Passion. Over the course of the next few weeks, we will discover some of the ways this beautiful devotion has evolved. Each parish is in need of someone who would be willing to lead the stations of the cross. Please contact Bridget Schlebecker at 765-884-1818 or register at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4cabab2aa6f8c34-lenten#/

Thank you to EVERYONE who signed on to help with St. John’s Stand at the Fall Festival. We are especially grateful for those who organize, order, set up and take down for several years now. The opportunity to work together and make money for special projects would not happen without THE FESTIVAL, and without the dedication of our parishoners who go the extra mile for us. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Thank You The Leadership Team and Pastorate Council would like to thank everyone who attended the Mass and picnic this past Sunday at Benton Central. We had the pleasure of hosting nearly 200 parishioners, as well as Bishop Doherty, for this inaugural event. This event would not have been possible without the great volunteers who gave their time to serve as greeters, parking assistants, ushers, servers, proclaimers, Eucharistic ministers, game organizers, cafeteria helpers, name tag helpers, decorating committee, musicians, and the Knights of Columbus for grilling. We hope to make this an annual pastorate event, so we’ll see you next year!
The sign up sheet is out for the ST. JOHN'S PORK CHOP STAND!! The Fall Festival is celebrating 50 years! Be a part of the historic weekend. We need YOU! September 2-5

COMING SOON! On Sunday, March 27, 2022, we will begin “Last Sunday Social” in the parish hall after the 9 a.m. Mass. We will be serving donuts and beverages this month, courtesy of the St. Joseph Women’s Society. Let’s bid farewell to all these months of COVID isolation and take some time to come visit with our fellow parishioners, maybe meet someone new and enjoy a little breakfast snack! As an added attraction, we would like to invite you while in the parish hall to visit the newly formed St. Joseph Parish Historical Museum. You may find photos, books, documents and many more treasures to tweak your memories of St. Joseph Parish. New parishioners may just find this museum interesting and a way to further enjoy being part of our parish. We are planning to have Last Sunday Social each month on the last Sunday of the month as long as interest is there. We hope that lots of parishioners will join us.
